When ChatGPT can pull directly from my files, email, and calendar, it stops being a chatbot and becomes a real assistant.
When I’m using ChatGPT for deep research or agent-based tasks, it can access my Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, and Notion. You can enable these in the Settings section under Connections—just connect your accounts once, and you’re set.
From Google Drive, it can pull data from Sheets, details from Docs, and supporting context from Slides.
From Gmail, it can reference past conversations for client context or project history.
From Calendar, it can factor in timing and key meetings.
From Notion, it can surface notes and docs that support the work.
This kind of cross-tool awareness turns ChatGPT into a true research assistant – one that understands my sources, not just my prompts.
